Open vs. Closed Loop.

Aim Dynamics offers DC current transducers with both open and closed loop sensors. Open-loop sensors are lower cost and offer low insertion loss, decent response time, and compact size. Closed-loop sensors are relatively immune to electrical noise and offer high linearity and low temperature drift.

Split-Core vs. Solid-Core.

We sell both split-core and solid-core sensors. Split-core sensors are convenient because they can be placed around an existing conductor without having to disconnect it. Solid-core are more difficult to install but are also more likely to contain closed-loop sensors and provide better linearity.We sell both split-core and solid-core sensors.
