Magnelab’s UCT-0300 is a compact current sensor with a 0.3″ opening and high accuracy.
The UCT-0300 is a solid core current transformer that complies with ANSI C57.13 0.6 Class and has a phase angle measurement better than 1˚. The output is controlled by a precision resistor fixed at the industry standard of 0.333 Vac. The rugged epoxy encapsulated construction comes with 8′ twisted leads.
This compact current sensor is frequently used with:
- New installations
- Cost allocation
- Precision power monitoring
When using rev grade current sensors like the UCT-0300, be sure when buying a meter to find an ANSI C12.20 Class 0.5S or better meter. The system is only as good as the weakest component!
The UCT-0300, like other current transformers, is used to determine the current (measured in Amps) passing through a conductor (wire, bus bar, etc). This is needed, along with the voltage, to determine the amount of power being used (measured in kW). Click here for more information on monitoring.
Compatible power meters accept a voltage input. Look for meters on our website that start with this symbol:
