The HO-S by LEM is an open loop Hall effect device designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC and pulsed currents with galvanic separation between the primary and secondary circuits.
The HO-S has primary ratings of 50 – 250A and can measure up to 600A DC or AC. A single +5Vdc power supply is required to provide power. The HO-S Hall effect current transducer is 1% accurate* (o.5% linearity). It outputs 2.5V at 0A, 3.3V at the rated current (positive) and 1.7V at the rated current (negative).
The HO-S can measure DC current and pulsed currents, as well AC frequencies up to 100 kHz (-3 dB). It has a fast response (2.5 to 3.5 µS) and low offset drift. These devices have been evaluated for over voltage category III and pollution degree 2 environments.
Note that the HO-S series (when ordered from Aim Dynamics) ships with the mating connector! There is no need to try and specially order the connector, only to get the wrong one, delay your project, etc.
