We recently stocked a new line of AC current sensors with a 5A output that are UL registered. Made by Magnelab, the new line covers amperage ratings of 100-2400A. The devices are up to 0.5% accurate, depending on the amperage and burden. The ACT-0024 has a 24mm opening and is available in amperage ratings of 100, 200 and 300 amps. The ACT-0036 has a 36mm opening and is available in amperage ratings of 200 and 400 amps. The ACT-0062 has a 62mm opening and is available in amperage ratings of 500 and 100 amps. Lastly, the new ACT-0141 has a 62 x 141 mm opening and is available in amperages of 1500, 2000 and 2400 amps. The new ACT series is UL registered.
Aim Dynamics continues to sell the ICT-2000 series, which outputs 5A, has an inner diameter of 2″ and has input ratings of 600 – 1600A. The ICT series is not UL registered whereas the ACT series is.
