Product Description

Magnelab’s HCT-0036-500 is a Hall Effect Sensor that takes 500A and outputs a corresponding 4V output. It has a 36 mm opening.

This open loop hall effect sensor can be used to measure both DC amperage as well as AC amperage signals up to 500A. The output type (AC or DC) reflects the type of the input amperage. The HCT-0036 is very compact and lightweight. It has an offset voltage less than +/-30 mV. It is +/-1% linear.

Temperature has a ± 0.1% /°C effect on the HCT-0036. It uses accurate laminating core split technology and is designed for strong durability while providing accuracy in low current situations. The HCT-0036 is a compact one-touch split structure, allowing easy installation. It is 1% accurate at the rated current and passes IEC61010-1, UL61010-1, and EN61010-1.

The HCT-0036’s insulation can withstand an AC voltage up to 1500V for 1 minute.  It typically has a 3 μ sec response time at full scale current.
