Using Monitoring Relays for Emergency Lighting Systems
In today’s post on the Aim Dynamics blog, we’re looking at an application of TELE Haase voltage relays in facility management. Emergency lighting systems must be activated when the lights fail in public buildings, such as schools or hospitals, due to under-voltage. To achieve this, a voltage relay can monitor the 3 phases of the supply voltage in the switch cabinet.
Creating an Energy Management Solution for the Recycling Industry
Today we have a post from Vincent Ferreux of Alter&Coop, who used J&D Multi-GEM 18 meters from Aim Dynamics to create an energy management solution for the recycling industry. Alter&Coop is a French cooperative that develops energy efficiency and solar panel solutions.
Monitoring the AC Current of the Power Supply of a Fusing Machine
This week our guest post is from René Ariyama Cantu, who worked with GST Autoleather on a project that involved monitoring AC current. Read more about René’s experience below.

How Rogowski Coils Work
Named after their inventor, Walter Rogowski, the Rogowski style of coils was first developed in 1912. They function as a measurement tools that determine the current moving through a conductor that has been inserted within the flexible Rogowski loop. Rogowski coils allows the observer to accurately examine the changes in current over a given period. To utilize the output, you may need to “integrate” the raw voltage output. We’ll talk about what this means in a minute, but first we need to explain a little more about the coils themselves.
DC Voltage Output CT Comparison
If you need an Adc to Vdc transducer, you’ll want to compare the Magnelab DCT series and the Sentran Corp 4DS series. To help you do this, consider the following chart.
